Quick post today, guys. I'm supposed to be paying attention in class but...well, I'm not. Can you tell? Anyway, listen to this verse I read this morning.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." That's Proverbs 3:5-6 and it's exactly what I'm trying to do with my life right now.
I'm trying to trust in the Lord. It's a lot harder than you'd think, there ain't no doubt about that. But I'm working on it. I'm gonna do my best to be content with God - as I told you yesterday - and to that end, I'm trying not to do things my way. There's no way it's going to be easy but I'm gonna do it. No more worrying about planning my own future. If I trust God, my path will work itself out.
So come on! Let's take this journey.

What's Up?
Hey, guys! Kinsey here. Wow. My own blog. I've been meaning to get one of these for a while and I finally did it. Anyway, tonight's post will be a different type than from what I'll usually post. Here, I'll give you a bit of my backstory and how I ended up where I am now. Okay? Hang on, 'cause here goes.
Well, I used to want a boyfriend real bad. Like so bad, I joined an online dating website and started hunting for one in cyberspace. Long story short, I made a few bad decisions and got my heart broken a few times. Not to mention the time my best friend became my boyfriend - whew, really long story there - and then we broke up. That was bad. But, through the help of my little brother, Luke, and my best friends, Carly and Anna, I came to realize that a boyfriend wasn't what I needed. I needed a real relationship with Christ.
Don't get me wrong. I've been a Christian for a while and I attend a Christian university. But I couldn't really be content until I had a boyfriend. At least that's what I thought. Then I listened to my friends and my brother and turned my life over to Christ for real. Now, I'm content to be single if that's the plan God has for me. Have you ever thought about the majorly awesome things you might be missing out on simply because you were so wrapped up in your significant other or you were so desperate to find a boyfriend? I mean, what if we miss out on what God has planned for us because the American dream of marriage and 2.1 kids seems so much more important?
So that's what I'm leaving you with today. Just a short post, I know, but I really want you guys to be thinking about what you might be missing because you're trying to plan your life on your own. Your life won't be fulfilled until you're able to be content in Christ. Trust me.
Till tomorrow!
